In Memory of

bulletColleen Pearson, a tremendous motivating force within the Handicapped Travel Club and activist for people with disabilities, passed away February 8, 2002 due to complications from leukemia.

Colleen worked hard to raise awareness for improved travel opportunities for people with disabilities and their families. She not only motivated folks to travel and become involved with the HTC, but was a voice for accessibility change within the RV industry as well. Her background in medical records and health care administration empowered her to fight for accessibility for schools, libraries, Elk's Club and other locales.

Most importantly, Colleen was a wife, mother and grandmother who is loved very much by her family. The Handicapped Travel Club sends them our deepest sympathy.

We were fortunate to have been a part of her life and love.

We will all miss her.

bulletOn August 3, 1920, HTC was born.  Of the first 5 Charter members, Myrl Arno Glasco became the very first Vice President.  Myrl passed away on the morning of July 6, 2002 at the age of 82.  Her beloved Husband of 60 years, L. V. (Red) Glasco and family mourn her loss.  Red was the first President of HTC.  He resides at SunBridge Brittany Care Center, 3900 Garfield Avenue, Carmichael, CA  95608, Room 706A.
Some of us were not fortunate enough to know the Glascos' before they hung up their keys, but we know they were the first members of HTC; and it is their legacy that has sustained the club for the twenty some years we have been in existence.

bulletLouis (Red) Glasco, the 1st HTC President and last of the original HTC members, passed away a year and 8 days after his beloved wife, Myrl.  They shared 60 years together.  He is now with her again.  His family would like all to know how much he loved HTC and the joys it brought him all these years.
